March has been a landmark month for Tommy Hastings, whose outstanding progress and composure on the national stage earned him a well‑deserved call‑up to represent England at the SIAB International Cross Country Match in Bangor, North Wales.

Competing against the very best Junior Boys from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, Tommy delivered a performance of real maturity. On a tough, undulating course that broke the field apart early, he ran with intelligence and confidence, staying composed through the middle stages before unleashing a superb finishing kick to secure 3rd place. His bronze medal helped England claim the team Gold, rounding off his cross country season in the finest possible style.

For Tommy, this was a first taste of international competition — and he rose to the occasion brilliantly. A podium finish, a team victory, and the honour of pulling on an England vest mark a huge milestone in his development and a moment the whole club is proud of.

A fantastic achievement and a fitting reward for his dedication, consistency and competitive spirit. Congratulations, Tommy

Congratulations to Joshua!

We are so proud to announce Joshua as our February Athlete of the Month for an amazing performance at the EA Indoor Championship. Securing Gold and 1st in the England Rankings for the U17 High Jump.

We cannot wait to see your future performances!

Stew Knowles has been named our Athlete of the Month in recognition of his exceptional performance at the Brass Monkey Half Marathon in York. Producing an impressive time of 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 50 seconds.

This accomplishment carries particular significance for the club, as his time breaks the long-standing MV50 record, a benchmark that had remained unchallenged since the year 2000.

In addition to this milestone, Stew continues to serve the club with distinction as team captain for Wakefield Harriers road runners and as organiser of the Road Runners Distance League.

Well done Stew and we look forward to seeing what else you can achieve in 2026!
